GRANITE CITY ELECTRIC SUPPLY PROMOTES FROM WITHIN

Several team leaders to assume driving positions for continued growth

Quincy, MA - Granite City Electric Supply Company, New England’s leading independent electrical distributor, announced today the promotions of several employees to assist in the company’s continued growth. Paul Knox, George McDonald, and Gregory Smith will immediately assume new management roles while several employees move into key regional leadership positions.

Paul Knox recently assumed the position of Vice President of Sales. Paul will develop and execute strategic sales plans and tools to drive the training and advancement of the GCE sales team. He will impart internal best practices and successes through his partnership of GCE Regional Sales Managers to ensure a consistent, focused sales strategy throughout the organization.

George McDonald has been promoted to Vice President of Operations. George will be responsible for innovating and communicating GCE’s efficiencies, best practices, corporate wide purchasing and costing strategies in order to capture market share and maximize gross profit.

In Gregory Smith’s new role as Director of Corporate Development he will plan GCE’s strategic development, future acquisitions and new branch openings as well as explore latest product/service opportunities for new market exposure and will continue the development of GCE’s latest specialized group, the Technologies Division.

The talents and skill sets of these new management positions will be reflected and shared throughout Granite City Electric’s sales force with the internal promotions of the following: Tom Rothfuss, Regional Sales Manager – Boston; Bill Raney, Regional Sales Manager – North Region; Steve Hannagan, Regional Sales Manager – West Region; and Steve Riley will spearhead the Showroom Division.
