Phyllis P. Godwin to be celebrated as 2007 Women-Owned Business Star

Quincy, MA – Phyllis P. Godwin, owner and CEO of Granite City Electric Supply Company, will be recognized by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) as a 2007 Woman-Owned Business Star. The black-tie event will be held on March 29 in Dallas, Texas. It is the Tenth Anniversary celebration of WBENC and is expected to draw over 1,000 guests. It celebrates the contributions of women’s business enterprises (WBE’s) to the United States economy.

WBENC works in conjunction with its affiliate business organizations to advance the success of certified women’s business enterprises and its corporate members. Each year WBENC profiles 14 regional affiliates as Woman-Owned Business Stars. These 14 proven female leaders have provided leadership in their respective local business communities, provided inspiration to other women business owners and remain at the helm of their successful certified businesses. Ms. Godwin will be representing the Center for Women & Enterprise of Boston, Massachusetts.
