Quincy, MA - Granite City Electric Supply Company, New England’s leading independent electrical distributor, announced today the creation of the Granite City Electric Charitable Foundation (GCECF).
The GCECF was created to assist charitable efforts within the New England communities in which GCE operates. The Foundation’s main objective is to help children lead healthy, active lives through the funding of various sports programs, arts initiatives, and medical research. As part of the company’s mission to be a good corporate citizen, a portion of its profits will be contributed to the Foundation annually.
“Granite City Electric has always been a conscientious member of the communities in which we operate. Over the years we have donated to a multitude of different charitable causes”, commented Phyllis P. Godwin, Chairman and CEO of Granite City Electric. “The GCECF will just provide us with a more organized and consistent approach to how we raise, evaluate and distribute the funds.”
