Description

Type S NEMA reversing magnetic starters are used for full voltage starting, stopping, and reversing AC squirrel cage motors. NEMA 8736 reversing starters are available in NEMA Sizes 00 to 7 and have ratings up to 810 amperes. NEMA reversing starters consist of two 8502S NEMA contactors that are mechanically and electrically interlocked and an overload relay. Sizes 0-5 reversing starters are available in either horizontal or vertical arrangements. This reversing starter is arranged horizontally. This 3 pole NEMA Size 3 reversing starter has an 90 ampere rating. This three phase NEMA Size 3 reversing starter has 25 HP at 200 VAC, 30 HP at 230 VAC and 50 HP at 460 and 575 VAC ratings. This reversing NEMA motor starter has a melting alloy type overload relay that uses Type CC thermal units to sense over current conditions. This NEMA starter has a 5 kA maximum SCCR (Short Circuit Current Rating) per UL508A when protected by an appropriate circuit breaker or fuse. Type S motor starters are available with replaceable coils in a wide variety of voltages. This starter has a 110/120 VAC 50/60 Hz operating coil wired for separate control. This NEMA reversing starter is an open device without an enclosure. This starter is 11.72 inches tall, 12.72 inches wide and 7.00 inches deep. A wide variety of accessories are available for Type S starters. Type S reversing NEMA motor starters are UL listed and CSA certified.
